How does the permanent jewelry process work?

So glad you asked — it’s just three easy steps. First, if you already know you want links, book an appointment, or find us at one of our pop-ups! Still thinking about it or have more questions? No worries, walk in, and we’ll be happy to chat with you or give us a call at (410) 204-4624.

Once you’re here, select from our collection of high-quality, unique links. Decide between a permanent bracelet, anklet, or necklace, and then choose between 14k gold, sterling silver, gold filled and rose gold. We also have connectors if you want to add a little personality to your stack (i.e. birthstones, initials, diamonds...) Come in to see all the options!

Lastly, we custom-size your jewelry piece to ensure it fits you perfectly. We then safely weld and polish, and you’re good to go! No, the welding doesn’t hurt one bit.

How am I supposed to care for my permanent jewelry?

We offer the highest quality links available, but there are very rare circumstances when chemicals and natural PH levels will patina gold filled and sterling silver metals. If this is a concern, we encourage customers to choose from our 14k gold options.

We’re confident in our quality, and will work with you to ensure that your jewelry not just meets, but exceeds your wear time and expected standards.

What are your chains made of, and do they tarnish?

You can choose between our chains in 14k gold, sterling silver, and gold filled. We also have our own CCL jewelry cleaning solution in store and available for purchase online, that works great with chains, diamonds and stones. (PS: It’s skin safe too!)

What happens if my permanent jewelry breaks?

We offer a wide variety of strong links, however, some are more delicate than others. If your chain breaks or stretches, we offer to adjust and re-weld for free. We do not replace lost chains.

For jewelry from other businesses, we offer to re-weld for $25, or for free if you purchase another permanent jewelry piece while you’re visiting! Charm City Links does not claim responsibility for lost jewelry.

What if I change my mind on my permanent jewelry piece?

Due to the custom nature of all of our permanent jewelry pieces, all permanent jewelry is final sale and non-refundable. Charm City Links is not responsible for metal allergies or improper care of jewelry. See above for all of our options to make sure your links stay as fresh as possible.
